Teams that intend to participate in an IHAAZ qualifier will have to fill out and complete the TEAM ROSTER & ENTRY FORM. Youth teams (8u-Jr. divisions) will also need to register with the AAU). Players may be asked to submit their AAU cards to the tournament director for proof of AAU membership before playing.
Official team roster
The players that are written in on the TEAM ROSTER & ENTRY FORM and received by the IHAAZ will be their official roster for the entire season. At any point during an IHAAZ qualifier season, any youth or junior team roster MAY NOT lose more than 50% of the players from the original team roster that was submitted to the IHAAZ at the beginning of the season. If this is the case, then that team will be considered a “new” team, and must then requalify itself in order to be eligible to participate at the state championships. If, after a team plays in their first qualifier, wants to add players to their roster for the next qualifier, then the team will need to indicate on the TEAM ROSTER & ENTRY FORM for that particular qualifier which players that they intend to add. This must be done before the qualifier and the completed form must be sent in to the IHAAZ. For each new player that a team adds to their original roster (the one that was submitted to the IHAAZ prior to their first qualifier) a $15.00 fee must accompany a completed IHAAZ PLAYER RELEASE FORM and youth and junior age division players must be registered with AAU. This information must be sent in to the IHAAZ, by the qualifier registration deadline, before the added player is eligible to participate on their team. This $15.00 fee and player information must be received by the IHAAZ and MAY NOT be submitted at the qualifier that the team intends on playing in.
Players may change team rosters ONE TIME
Once a player is officially rostered to a team (entered into the IHAAZ data base) the player may make ONE ROSTER MOVE TO ANOTHER TEAM WITHIN THE SAME AGE DIVISION TO ANOTHER TEAM DURING THE SAME SEASON. The IHAAZ board must approve any more than one roster move to another team within the same age division during the same season by any one player.
Players must get an official release
Players MAY NOT remove themselves from one inline team club’s roster and place themselves on another inline club’s roster without consent from the IHAAZ during the course of a season. Because of IHAAZ affiliation with AAU, a player must be granted a release from their current club team roster if that player intends to be added to the roster of anther club’s team during the same IHAAZ season.
Teams may have a maximum of 14 players officially listed on their roster. It will be the responsibility of every team to see to it that they officially delete the players that will no longer be a member of their team. As was done by officially adding a player to a team roster, officially deleting players from team rosters is just as important and must be indicated as such on the TEAM ROSTER & ENTRY FORM before being sent in to the IHAAZ. Players may officially be deleted from any team roster at the qualifier itself, but must be done so by indicating the deletion on their TEAM SIGN-IN FORM at the qualifier that they intend on playing in. If teams do not officially delete players that they do not want on their roster, then teams could end up exceeding the maximum of 14 rostered players, and, as a result, would not be permitted to add any more players to their rosters.
Teams attending the Casey’s Roster lock in March
Any youth or junior team that attends the Casey’s roster lock IHAAZ qualifier in March, and has the intention of participating in the State Championships, will have their rosters “locked”. In other words, no more players may be added to the roster of any youth or junior team that intends to participate in the IHAAZ State Championships after the Casey’s qualifier.
Teams NOT attending the Casey’s Roster lock in March
Any youth or junior team that DOES NOT attend the Casey’s roster lock IHAAZ qualifier in March will mean that players who are eligible to be listed on their team roster from their last IHAAZ qualifier, will be the official team roster that will be “locked” and qualified to participate at the State Championships.
